Planet Fungi is a fictional environment created from six 3D landscapes. Each landscape is constructed out of a picture of mold growing on different surfaces such as fruit,bread or cheese. I wanted to create a space where the biological micro life becomes a digital macro territory while witnessing it in VR. The whole experience represents a digital trip and speculates on the possibilities of creating a psychedelic sensation without substances or shrooms, and using VR as a way to stimulate the human senses. By putting on the glasses the viewer is immersed and can navigate in a world of blown up fungi.
